More than 1,000 people dressed in pyjamas, dressing gowns and nighties took to the streets of Ashford to raise money for charity.

The huge group of walkers taking part in the second annual Pilgrims Hospice Pyjama Walk, completed a five and a half mile course starting and ending at the Designer Outlet on Saturday night.

Participants wore fancy dress, flashing headwear and night caps for the walk which crossed the iconic Eureka Skyway bridge.

Hospice fundraising manager Nigel Donkin said: "We were thrilled with how many people came and joined in with our ‘night to remember’ on Saturday. The atmosphere was fantastic and we hope to have raised a significant sum for Pilgrims Hospices.”
