A road closed by police following a serious accident has re-opened.
The accident was at the top of Sandgate Hill, Sandgate, Folkestone, near Dixwell Road, just before 11am today.
Two cars were involved and a woman in her eighties has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Sandgate Hill was closed by police while officers from the serious collision investigation unit examine the scene. But it-re-opened at 3.30pm.
Traffic heading from Folkestone towards Sandgate was diverted down Grimston Avenue and along Shorncliffe Road while vehicles heading from Sandgate towards Folkestone was diverted along Coolinge Lane.
