Police appeal after road rage incident between Pluckley and Hothfield

Police are hunting the driver of a modified Vauxhall Astra after a suspected road rage incident between Pluckley and Hothfield.

The driver of a Volkswagen Golf said he overtook the Astra car on Monday, April 3 around 4.45pm.

But by the time the victim's car reached the junction with the A20 Ashford Road, the Astra had caught up with him.

A police spokesman explained: "It was reported that the driver of the Astra attempted to open the door of the Golf before causing damage to the vehicle including by smashing a wing mirror.

"The victim drove away in the direction of Ashford but was followed by the man in the Astra, who again caught up at Drovers Roundabout and is reported to have caused further damage to the vehicle by kicking a back door."
