Mid-table Ashford were unable to improve their position in the Kent League Division 1 standings at the weekend.

Opponents Whitstable, who are just above them, enjoyed a winning draw at their expense to leave the hosts frustrated.

With opener Max Campbell cracking 75 and Jake Guinan 40, Whitstable reached 202-8.

Opener Liam Tegg (59) then top scored for Ashford, who made 180-8 off their 50 overs.
