Bank staff pulling pints at charity quiz

Staff from Barclays will be swapping the bank for the bar to pull pints and serve soft drinks at the KE Big Quiz in Ashford.

They have agreed to support the mammoth wine and wisdom evening on Friday, October 16 by taking on the running of the charity bar, a vital part of the fund-raising for the event.

Ashford branch manager Beverley Walsh said: “Staff at the branch are very excited about taking on this challenge to support the KM Big Quiz.

"We know the bar is a key element of the fund-raising on the night to support these excellent causes.

“The staff are all used to working as a team to ensure the branch runs efficiently and this will be a chance for us to use those skills to help raise money for these charities.

“Our support will have an even greater impact because the money we raise will be matched through the Barclays community investment programme.”
