A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after coming off his bike.

Emergency services descended on a road in Ashford shortly after midday.

The biker was treated at the scene following the incident on Malcolm Sargent Road, before being taken to the William Harvey Hospital for treatment.

A police spokeswoman said: "Kent Police was called at 12.21pm to Malcolm Sargent Road, Ashford following reports that a motorcyclist had come off his bike.

"He has been taken to a local hospital for treatment."
