On Wednesday, May 15 an off-duty policeman found a Yamaha motorbike abandoned in a wooded area off Warren Lane.

The bike had been reported stolen from the driveway of a nearby property earlier the same day.

The bike was examined before being returned back to its owner.

Then, two days later officers arranged the recovery of a BMW which had been abandoned in a bridleway near Hamstreet Road.

The car had been reported stolen from outside a nearby property the previous Wednesday.
