Thieves who stole a charity collection box are being hunted by police in Ashford.

The Kent Air Ambulance collection box was taken from a concession within the garden centre in Bybrook Road, Ashford, between 3pm and 4.45pm last Thursday.

It was one of three such boxes on the counter but the other two were secured by chains.

It is thought the almost full box contained between £50 and £80.
