Christmas decorations stolen from a property in Challock, Ashford

Mean-spirited thieves has stolen Christmas decorations from the front lawn of a home near Ashford.

A light-up St Bernard dog and two illuminated reindeer with a sleigh were swiped, and four sets of white fairy lights were stripped from trees.

Police are now hunting the culprits, who struck in The Lees in Challock between 6pm on Sunday and 3.20pm the following day.

Detective Sergeant Nicky Holland-Day said: "During the season of goodwill, this theft shows a distinct lack of Christmas spirit."
