Cigarettes taken in post office burglary at Lees Road, Brabourne Lees

A stash of cigarettes were stolen during a burglary at a post office at the weekend.

Police are investigating the incident at Brabourne Lees, near Ashford.

The incident is said to have taken place on Sunday December 18 at a post office in Lees Road where a large quantity of cigarettes were taken.

The suspects broke in by forcing the front door of the post office at 3.06am, took cigarettes from behind the counter and left the premises three minutes later at 3.09am.

Officers investigating the raid believe the suspects may have made off along Lees Road.
