Investigators believe he suffered a head injury while riding an electric pedal bike along the carriageway between 9.55pm and 10.05pm.

The victim, from Kilburn in north west London, was taken to a London hospital where he died yesterday, three days after the collision.

How he sustained the injury is not yet clear.

Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses, and are interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen the man before the crash.

They are also looking to speak to anyone who saw a woman who was driving a small white car, which stopped at the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 101, quoting reference SL/47/21.
