Police are investigating after a driver fled the scene of a crash.

Officers were called to Frith Road in Aldington near Ashford following reports of two cars involved in a collision.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm yesterday and one of the drivers was injured.

One of the vehicles involved was not at the scene when police arrived and inquiries are ongoing to find the driver.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said paramedics assessed and treated one person at the scene before taking them to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
