Two men arrested in B&Q car park, Ashford, for suspected drug offences

Police followed a suspicious vehicle into a B&Q car park before arresting two men in connection with the supply of cocaine.

Officers were on patrol in the Willesborough area of Ashford when they spotted the vehicle.

They followed it to B&Q car park in Norman Road and approached the occupants.

Four packages containing suspected cocaine, a quantity of cash and mobile phones were discovered.

The driver, a 27-year-old man from Ashford, was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

A second man from Maidstone, aged 23, was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and B drugs.

The men were arrested at about 4pm on Monday.

Both were subsequently released pending further investigation.
