Fire at animal feed store in Bethersden, near Ashford

Firefighters tackled a blaze this morning at a building used to store animal feed.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of the fire at Bethersden, near Ashford, at about 6.30am.

Two fire engines attended and crews using hose reel jets and breathing apparatus spent about two hours extinguishing the blaze. The building was ventilated and it was checked for any remaining hot spots.

No injuries were reported and the cause is not yet known.
