The shopping centre had to be evacuated as flames tore through the shop with Kentish Express staff also dislodged.

Many of the products had to be thrown out, and smoke had seeped into the displays.

One staff member estimated at the time that about £100,000 of stock had been ruined in the fire, which began at 2pm.

It was found to be accidental, with Kent Fire and Rescue blaming an electrical fault in the fridge.
