The opening marks the first permanent tenant to set up in the multi-million cinema, hotel and leisure complex - as it has remained largely empty since opening in 2018.

The fitness company - which has 67 gyms in the UK and eight in the county - has added Ashford to its portfolio after signing a 10-year lease for the 4,284 sq ft retail unit.

It comes after news of its forthcoming arrival was revealed last summer by KentOnline.

Bosses have invested half a million pounds in the Elwick Place development and hired ten employees to work at the gym.

Customers can secure memberships with no long-term contracts and access the facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Facilities include access to cardio equipment, a large free weights area, a functional training zone and individual shower rooms.

Members will be able to book personal training sessions and participate in group fitness classes.

Bosses had initially proposed to open the gym yesterday - but it was pushed back while finishing touches were made.
