Fish die as mindless vandals target school

INTRUDERS who entered a Kent school smashed a fish tank, broke the keys on a piano and damaged a cassette player and a toaster.

Police say all the fish inside the tank died in the incident at the school in Clockhouse, Ashford. It is not yet known if the piano can be repaired.

The vandals broken into the premises sometime between 2.30pm and 3pm on Sunday. It is believed the offenders gained access to the building by smashing a window.

Neighbourhood officer PC Paul Morton, of Ashford police, said: "Nothing appears to have been stolen. This looks like a case of malicious vandalism.”

"I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area early on Sunday afternoon and may have seen youths acting suspiciously."
