Ashford: Five arrests after drugs raid in Beaver Lane

Five people have been arrested following a drugs raid near a parade of shops.

Police searched the property in Court Wurtin off Beaver Lane in Ashford at about 10.30am yesterday.

A quantity of class A drugs were seized from the scene.

Liban Ahmed, 37, of Manthorpe Road in Woolwich, London, and Joseph Warren, 21, of no fixed address, have since been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, and possession with intent to supply heroin.

Both were due to appear before Medway magistrates today (Friday).

A 41-year-old man and two 33-year-old women, all from Ashford, have been released pending further inquiries.
