kmfm's Make Someone's Christmas helps out generous Ashford football club patron nominated by gushing colleague

.

An Ashford local who has given 40 years of his life to a local football club has been given a gift that will help him into the new year and beyond thanks to kmfm and McArthurGlen, Ashford Designer Outlet.

Today is the fourth day of Make Someone's Christmas and this evening kmfm will call to David Homewood with a surprise.

His colleague, Michelle Edwards, nominated him with glowing enthusiasm for his boundless generosity in his 40 years at Bromley Green FC in Willesborough.

She said: “He eats, sleeps and breathes football and his priority is making children smile. He provides them with food often from his own pocket.

“He never ever asks for anything in return and is always happy to give his time to parents and children. He is amazing we love him.”

Lately, Dave has been struggling with the admin for over 400 club members after his three printers stopped working. But he’s holding back on getting a new one because of worries about the cost of renovations to the club in the following year.

Rob Wills from kmfm Drivetime called the football club patron just after 6pm, lightening his load with a voucher for a new printer - and another for a new jumper to keep him cosy working all day at the freezing football club.

Make Someone's Christmas is in its fifth year and aims to surprise 10 people in Kent over the next two weeks.

kmfm has received hundreds of nominations about incredible people in the county.

David is the fourth to receive a surprise phone call - tune in at 6pm tomorrow to hear call number five.
