Two letters on a giant sign caught fire after an electrical fault.

A 2ft capital “B” and a 1 1/2ft lower case “a” caught light at the Barretts Land Rover Dealers at Orbital Park, Ashford.

The giant lettering had been on a tower but firefighters stopped the blaze going any further.

Two fire engines from Ashford were called to the incident at The Parade at 8pm on Monday.
