A fire which tore through a haystack for more than 30 hours has been put out.
A section of the A251 was closed when 100 hay bales caught fire near Challock on Wednesday.
Firefighters were at the scene - by the junction with Shottenden Road - overnight to quell the flames, eventually succeeding at 7.31pm yesterday.
Drivers passing this morning noted that some of the pile was still smouldering.
