Heavy traffic on M20 coastbound between Junctions 9 and 10 at Ashford after two-car crash

There was heavy traffic on the M20 this morning after a crash between two cars.

Emergency services were sent to the scene on the coastbound carriageway between Junction 9 A20 Fougeres Way (Ashford) and Junction 10 A2070 (Ashford South).

The vehicles involved have since been moved to the hard shoulder and all lanes have reopened.

As of 8.30am there were still long delays on the motorway.

A Kent Police spokesman confirmed they were called to a two-car collision near Junction 9 of the M20 coastbound at 7.20am.

“Officers are currently at the scene and are working with highways officers to clear the carriageway,” they added.

It is understood that the crash did not result in any serious injuries.
