A police helicopter was circling above Ashford as part of a wide search for a missing woman who has now been found.

Concern for the welfare of Madaleine Vann, from Maidstone, was raised at about 9.20am.

A helicopter was above the Kennington and Willesborough areas of Ashford - between Little Burton housing estate and the William Harvey Hospital yesterday evening.

The search has continued during the darker hours.

This morning, police confirmed she had been found safe and well.
