Gary MacKenzie has gone missing from Ashford

Police have joined the friends and family members in appealing for help to track down a man who has been missing for a fortnight.

Gary MacKenzie, from Ashford, hasn't been seen by his family since Easter, and was last heard from two weeks ago.

Police are searching for Mr MacKenzie, who is believed to also have links to the Folkestone area. There are growing fears for his welfare as he is currently unwell.

Friend Steven Rose said: "Gary, if you're reading this, please let me know you're alright. We're really worried about you."

Officers are following several lines of inquiry to locate him and are now asking for the public’s help.

Insp Jon Press of Kent Police said: "Mr Mackenzie is known to have been in Canterbury for a work appointment about six weeks ago, and there was a possible sighting in Ashford three weeks after that.

"He has not made contact with his family during that time, who have now reported him missing and are understandably anxious to hear from him so they can check he is okay."

Anyone who knows where Mr Mackenzie may be is urged to call the police on 101 quoting reference 28-1027.
