A man has been charged with sexually assaulting a female jogger at an Ashford lake.

The 38-year-old woman told police she was attacked while running near Singleton Lake, off Bucksford Lane.

Now a man has appeared in court over the daylight attack, at about 10am on Monday.

Ross Parker, of Kent Avenue, Ashford, is charged with assaulting the woman by sexual touching.

The 25-year-old appeared before magistrates where he was released on bail.

He is next due to appear at Channel Magistrates' Court, in Folkestone, on Monday, June 10.
