Camier celebrates his title win with the Airwaves Yamaha team at Oulton Park

Leon Camier completed his title-winning 2009 British Superbike Championship season with a double win on Sunday in the final round.

Camier romped to a 19th win of the season at Oulton Park in the final race.

"That was an awesome way to end the season," said the Ashford rider.

"I have to thank the whole Airwaves Yamaha team as they have been my strength and I couldn’t have done it without them.

"I owe this all to them as they have made my dream come true this season and I couldn’t have asked for anything more."

A triple-header at Oulton Park saw race one take place on Saturday but Camier was left to settle for second as Honda’s Stuart Easton took the win.

Camier (pictured) faced another good battle with Easton in the second race but this time won by a fraction of a second.

Race three was less dramatic as Camier eased his Airwaves Yamaha home comfortably ahead of Tommy Hill.

With those wins Camier finished the season on 549.5 points - a massive 136.5 ahead of nearest challengers and teammate James Ellison.

Camier completes his season next weekend in Portimao, Portugal at the final round of the World Superbike Championship.
