The M20 London bound was closed following a serious crash involving a lorry and motorbike.

Emergency services were called to the scene between junction 9 for Ashford and junction 8 for Maidstone.

The road reopened at around 8pm. There were queues for more than two and a half miles back to junction 10

Police spokesman Andy Saunders said: "Police were called at 1.20pm following a collision involving a motorcycle on the Londonbound M20, near junction 8.

"Officers and the ambulance service are at the scene and a road closure has been put in place."
