The man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer after the dispersal order came into force at precisely 4.02pm.

It will continue for the next 24 hours.

The dispersal authority means that anyone causing, or likely to cause, anti-social behaviour can be told to leave the area of the town centre inside the old ring road.

If they return, they may be arrested.

Three people have already been told to stay away for the next 24 hours.

It comes into force under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime, & Policing Act 2014.
