Officers arrest man following alleged assault in Cade Road, South Ashford

A man wanted in connected with a disturbance in Ashford has been arrested.

A police investigation was launched in the town earlier this month following reports that a group of people entered a house in Cade Road, South Ashford, and assaulted some of the occupants.

Police said they were hunting three suspects in connection with the attack, which happened on Wednesday, March 9 at around 8pm.

Now, officers have arrested one man in connection to the incident.

The 30-year-old was spotted in Ashford town centre yesterday at around 2pm and was arrested in the Vicarage Lane car park. The car he was driving was also seized.

A spokesman for the police said: "A suspect wanted for an incident in Cade Road, Ashford on March 9 was seen and officers attended to arrest him and seize the vehicle he was driving.

"A 30-year-old man arrested at the time has been released on bail until April 29 while inquiries continue."
