Drivers heading towards the coast faced severe delays this evening after a crash on the M20.

One lane was currently closed near the slip road at junction 10 for Ashford on the eastbound carriageway.

The crash happened at around 5.20pm and highways officials say traffic was held for a short time whilst the vehicles involved were removed on the hard shoulder.

However, traffic was "very slow" in the area until all lanes reopened at around 6.25pm.
