A mystery helicopter was spotted circling over Ashford yesterday evening.

The noisy chopper was pictured over Kennington around 5pm yesterday but police and the air ambulance say it's nothing to do with them.

Witnesses say it was seen hovering over the town for around an hour and looked as thought it was 'searching for something.'

One resident said: "It was hovering above the field in Bockhanger for about 10 mins before it flew away.

"It was strange, as it was all dark blue and had no other markings from what I could see."

Police insist there is nothing on their log and it was not an air ambulance.
