A new barber shop has opened in Kennington.

Kennington Barbers - which offers Turkish-style hairdressing - began trading two weeks’ ago.

The family-run business is open to customers seven days a week and booking is not required at the Faversham Road site.

The barbers has opened in the former unit of Beaver Batteries, which moved behind the building last month.

Beaver Batteries manager Mihai Enache moved the shop as he plans to expand his business.

He said: “We may have lost customers during the change but we have put signs up and customers can now book on online.

“There are going to be a lot of upgrades now, we are getting new products including new tyres and machines and also a new extension. We hope to extend the building by February to allow cars to be brought in.”
