Pedestrian struck by car on ring road

A MAN was taken to hospital with suspected head injuries today after being in collision with a car on the Ashford ring road.

It is thought the man was struck by a silver Volkswagen Passat as he crossed the three-lane carriageway outside the Kentish Express newspaper office just after 12.30pm.

The man was taken to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital. A police crash investigation team is carrying out an inquiry.
