Police dog units spotted at Eureka Leisure Park behind Cineworld in Ashford

Police have calmed concerns over several dog units being spotted in a car park popular with boy racers.

Witnesses saw five vehicles in the overflow car park behind Ashford’s Cineworld on Eureka Leisure Park this morning.

But a police spokesman said it was part of a training exercise for the dog teams and was not a part of an emergency response.

Last year, KentOnline revealed how boy racers gathering in the car park have proved a “total nightmare” for people living nearby, with neighbours woken up by revving engines and loud music.

The site owners said at the time how “car meets are prohibited at Eureka Leisure Park”.
