Alleyway taped off after stabbing in Beecholme Drive, Kennington, Ashford

Police taped off a block of garages and part of an alleyway after a man in his 20s was stabbed.

Officers stood guard in Beecholme Drive, Kennington, following the incident at 10.10pm last night.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene for injuries to his legs and a hand.

He was then taken to the William Harvey Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A police car and unmarked vehicle were at the scene this afternoon close to the junction with Rectory Way.

A neighbour said they heard "screaming and shouting" before the emergency vehicles arrived last night.

Last year, two people and a dog were stabbed after four men burst into a property in Beecholme Drive.

Inquiries into yesterday's incident are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/67450/23.

Residents with CCTV and motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for footage that may assist the investigation.
