Singer Peter Andre was up at the crack of dawn filming in Dungeness.

The star also delighted locals by signing autographs and having his picture taken with them.

And he pleased site management by causing the minimum disturbance to the area with his team after another entourage had scarred the beauty spot with litter.

Owen Leyshon, Dungeness National Nature Reserve site manager, said: “A few local women learned about his visit and had his autograph and their photographs taken with them. He was quite approachable.

“His group was fine. They kept us informed of what they were planning, met us for a recci beforehand and paid local businesses for their accommodation, access arrangements and ate in the Pilot pub.

“They were low key and caused no problem at all for the local residents.”

The pop and TV star had been at Dungeness from 6am to 3pm on Tuesday to shoot trailers for his ITV reality series Peter Andre:My Life.

The filming involved sunrise shots on the beach and more of Andre with his swish Lamborghini at the boardwalk and New Lighthouse at the tip of Dungeness before finishing off along a private fisherman’s track.

Andre had arrived with an entourage of 15, a standard size for the work being done, and members on a team had met site managers on a reconnaissance trip the week before.

Andre’s unobtrusive visit contrasts with that of singer and rapper Nicky Minaj last November who came with a 40-strong team.

Site managers complained bitterly when they left behind litter, tore around in speeding cars and left vans stuck on fishermen’s tracks.
