Funeral of Dorothy Conway draws over 100 mourners and a procession of 12 limos and a hearse at St Simon Stock Catholic Church in Ashford

More than 100 mourners attended the funeral of Ashford woman, Dorothy Frances Conway.

Family and friends gathered at St Simon Stock Catholic Church to pay their respects to the 83-year-old.

Traffic momentarily halted as a procession of 12 limos and a hearse made their way to the church in Brookfield Road this afternoon.

Colourful tribute flowers read "Nan" and "Mum" while other more unusual arrangements resembled a turkish delight wrapper and packet of wotsits crisps.

In a notice of Mrs Conway's death, the family said: "Fondly loved by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and always in our hearts and thoughts."

Mrs Conway passed away on December 13.
