Train delays ease between Eastbourne and Ashford International after person hit by train

All train lines are now open again after a person was hit by a train.

The Southern service was suspended earlier between Eastbourne and Ashford International following this morning's incident.

Tickets were being accepted on Southeastern services.

British Transport Police officers were called around 6.30am to Bexhill station following reports that a person had been struck by a train.

South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics were also called and treated a woman for a leg injury.

She was taken to hospital for further treatment. This incident is not being treated as suspicious.
