Hythe manager Scott Porter wants a six-point haul from his side’s next two games as they bid to firmly establish themselves in Ryman League, Division 1 South.

Town boss Porter (pictured) admitted: "We’ve not made the greatest of starts," after two wins and three defeats in their opening six games, which left them sitting 14th.

However, with two cups wins and four points from their past two league games, Town are now four games unbeaten, with Porter adding: "We want to continue that run. We are going in the right direction and don’t want to take a step backwards."

Saturday’s visitors to Reachfields, Burgess Hill, remain winless and sit next to bottom, while Kent rivals Whitstable have lost six straight games in all competitions.

Porter said: "We have got two home games against two sides who have not had the best of starts and we have to be looking at six points.

"We’ve been trying to find the right formation and I think we’re finally there and with Laurence Harvey alongside Pat Kingwell at the back, we look a lot stronger. Things are looking good."
