Police are appealing for information after lead worth an estimated £700 was stolen in a series of thefts from buildings over the half term holiday.

In the first incident on Sunday, February 14, £500-worth of lead flashing was taken from a roof. Three days later the suspect fled the scene of another house when he woke up the owner after causing £150-worth of damage to the roof. A further £100-worth of lead was stolen from a roof in the same area on the night of Friday, February 19.

The roof of a school was also targeted and lead valued at £100 was taken at some time between Friday, February 19 and Sunday, February 21.

The suspect spotted in Beecholme Drive is described as an unshaven, white young man, aged 19 or 20, 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. He spoke with a southern accent.
