Motorists were faced with long delays and tailbacks in Hythe Road, Ashford after two cars were involved in an accident.

The crash between a Renault Clio and Ford Transit van happened at about 4pm yesterday (Wednesday).

The road was closed for over an hour during rush-hour.

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance (SECAmb) service attended the scene.

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
