“I wanted to do this as I’m a big football fan and feel this is a great way to visit all these great stadiums whilst raising money,” said Mr Wanstall.

Although they only began training in May, the men are determined to complete the route which will start and finish at the London Stadium, where they will take a tour of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park after they have completed the route.

Mr Wanstall continued: “We are all inspired to do this and raise money for Cancer Research UK as we all know people who have been affected by cancer.”

So far the workmates have raised £385 out of their £1,000 target.
