A main road was blocked during rush-hour following a crash involving a car and a van.

Police and one ambulance crew were called to Knoll Lane in Singleton, Ashford, at 7.15am.

The car involved - a blue 1993 Vauxhall Astra - suffered heavy front-end damage.

The incident happened at the junction with Millbrook Meadow.

The ambulance crew were called following a report of minor injuries, but no one required hospital treatment.
