National Highways and the emergency services both attended but the two lanes have now been reopened.

A spokesperson for the police said officers were called at 11:40am following reports of the incident.

“Officers attended and are working to clear the carriageway,” they said earlier this afternoon.

“There are no reported injuries.”

Drivers were being warned to expect delays and allow extra time for their journey.

The ambulance service has also been contacted for comment.
