Used needles found in Victoria Park, Ashford

A dad has raised concerns after finding used needles in a park.

Father-of-three Ashley Taylor, 31, photographed the dangerous items in Ashford’s Victoria Park on Saturday.

He discovered about 10 used needles – some with their packaging – in the car park.

Mr Taylor – who lives in Stanhope – said: “I drove the dogs and kids to Victoria Park, parked the car and got the kids out.

"My two-year-old boy kicked something while I was getting his changing bag out of the boot; I looked down and saw about 10 used needles.

”I put the kids back in the car and I had my work gloves in there - I picked up all the needles I could see and then put them in a bin on site."
