Traffic queueing on M20 near Ashford after van and caravan crash

Two lanes on the M20 had to be shut after a collision between a van and a caravan.

Police were called to Junction 9 of the London-bound carriageway after reports of a crash near Ashford.

It involved a van and a caravan between the turn-offs for the A20 Fougeres Way and Junction 8, A20 Ashford Road.

A police spokesman said traffic was held while the road was cleared.

No one is thought to have been hurt.

As of 2.40pm, the delays on the motorway were understood to have dispersed and the traffic was flowing as normal.
