Freezing weather and motorists splashing through a puddle have created this incredible ice formation in a hedgerow.

The freezing water has formed stunning ice formations dubbed 'road icicles' which look like a scene from a fantasy film.

James Hendricks, 34, spotted the spectacular hedge on Swan Lane near his home in Ashford.

Network Rail worker James said: "It just caught my eye straight away.

"It's amazing - it's a bit of a shame it's so dirty, but I've still never seen anything like it before.

"It looks like something from Narnia, as if there's a secret passage through it.

"It's brilliant - I've never seen road icicles before."

The ice has formed by spray from cars passing through a semi-permanent puddle, caused by run-off from nearby fields.
