Woman, 36, accused of stealing Lindt Chocolate and Nike clothes from Ashford Designer Outlet

A woman is due in court after chocolate, sportswear and clothing were reportedly stolen from a shopping centre.

Plain-clothed and uniformed officers were patrolling Ashford's Designer Outlet on April 12 as part of work to tackle shoplifting.

A woman was stopped with suspected stolen goods at around 5pm that day.

Lindt Chocolate and Nike sportswear were seized and the suspect was arrested.

Kayleigh Wigman of Ashford has since been charged with four counts of theft from the shop, relating to the alleged theft of clothes and beauty products between March 3 and April 12.

The 36-year-old, of Orion Way, is due before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on April 26.
