Woman dies after Ford Focus and Renault Scenic crash in Charing near Ashford

A woman has died following a serious crash at a junction.

The victim died of her injuries two weeks after being involved in the collision in Charing near Ashford.

Emergency services were called at about 1.40pm on Thursday, July 8 after a blue Ford Focus and a bronze Renault Scenic collided.

The Renault was on the high street heading towards Station Road when it was involved in the collision with the Ford at the junction with the A20.

The woman, who was the passenger in the Ford Focus, was taken to hospital but died of her injuries yesterday. Her next of kin have been informed.

Police are now investigating the collision and are asking witnesses to step forward.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage which could assist officers with their investigation is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
