KENT athlete Lisa Dobriskey has been added to the England team for the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in March.

The 21-year-old Loughborough student from Ashford AC has been rewarded for some outstanding recent performances, including a lifetime best time and a third-place finish in a race where the line-up included three finalists from the World Championships.

Dobriskey could line up alongside double Olympic gold medalist Dame Kelly Holmes in Melbourne. Holmes is still recovering from an Achilles injury.

Her next race is likely to be this weekend in the Great North Mile on Tyneside in support of the annual Great North Run half marathon.
